Motorcycle Cover Sizing Made Easy — Never Order the Wrong Size

Most motorcycle cover returns happen for one reason: wrong size. Here’s how to get it right the first time.

Step 1: Measure Your Bike

You need two numbers: overall length (front tire to rear fender) and overall height (ground to top of windshield or fairing).

Step 2: Check for Obstructions

Do you have a top case, saddlebags, tall windshield, or luggage rack? Each adds inches to your effective size. A bike that measures 92 inches without accessories might need a 100+ inch cover with the top case on.

Step 3: Choose Your Size

Cover Size Length Range Typical Bikes
Medium Up to 90 in Sport bikes, naked bikes, small cruisers
Large 90-100 in Full-size cruisers, adventure bikes
X-Large 100-110 in Touring bikes, full dressers
Scooter 70-80 in Vespas, maxi-scooters, mopeds

The Golden Rule

When in doubt, size up. A slightly long cover can be cinched with the belly strap. A too-short cover leaves your front tire, fork, and headlight exposed.
